Fayette, MO City Clerk Recruitment

The City of Fayette, Missouri (population 2,710) is situated in Howard County, MO.  Fayette is the home of Central Methodist University and is located 30 minutes west of Columbia, Missouri just north of Interstate 70.   The City is seeking an experienced City Clerk and/or qualified individual for the position of City Clerk.   

The City Clerk’s position is a component of the Administrative Office of the City of Fayette. The Clerk provides public affairs assistance to the City Council and administrative assistance to the Board of Aldermen, Mayor and City Administrator.   The City Clerk’s Office is charged with management of the official records of the City, including recording, attesting to, filing, and retrieving documents pertaining to Mayor and Board of Aldermen and other administrative decisions. The Clerk interacts daily with the citizens, organizations, governmental agencies, and employees of the City; provides public information for a variety of stakeholders; and performs functions of statutory powers and duties of the municipal office.  The City Clerk position leads coordination of all Human Resources activities within the City of Fayette and directs recruiting efforts, benefits coordination and other vital HR functions for the City.

The City Clerk’s Office provides a variety of services to the City and the Community, including management of all City records, liquor licenses, city‐wide bid program, business licenses, assistance with Boards and Commissions.  Position directs municipal elections, and coordinates public affairs, events and meetings.  The City Clerk works as a vital member of the management team.

Fayette, MO City Administrator Recruitment

The City of Fayette, Missouri (population 2,710) is situated in Howard County, MO.  Fayette is the home of Central Methodist University and is located 30 minutes west of Columbia, Missouri just north of Interstate 70.   The City is seeking a qualified individual for the position of City Administrator who shall be the Chief Administrative Assistant to the Mayor.  The City Administrator shall coordinate and be responsible for the administrative operations of all City Departments, including developing, recommending and implementing policies, program planning, financial management, administrative and operations of all City functions and services.  Qualifications: The person appointed shall be a graduate of an accredited University or College, majoring in public or municipal administration, or shall have the equivalent qualifications and experience in financial, administration and /or public relations field.   Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
