Municipal Pool Manager

The City of Fayette, Missouri is accepting applications for the position of Municipal Pool Manager in its Department of Streets & Parks. This position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. Specialized training in water purification and experience in water safety programs will be required and provided when employment begins. Duties include maintenance of water purity; recreational program management; supervision of seasonal personnel; minor equipment repair; overall pool safety and management. This is a seasonal position from May 2026 through August 2026.

The City of Fayette, Missouri is accepting applications for the position of Municipal Pool Lifeguards in its Department of Streets and Parks. These positions require certification from the American Red Cross and will be provided when employment begins. Duties include lifeguard activities and pool safety. Positions are seasonal from May 2026 through August 2026.

Police Officer

Job Summary

The Police Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to protecting life and property, preventing crime, and fostering positive relationships with the community. Officers will engage in various activities, including patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies.

Duties

  • Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
  • Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
  • Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and other relevant information.
  • Enforce traffic laws and regulations; conduct traffic stops as necessary.
  • Manage conflicts effectively and de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
  • Provide first aid and CPR as needed during emergencies.
  • Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities.
  • Handle animals in distress or involved in incidents as required.
  • Collaborate with community members to promote safety initiatives and crime prevention strategies.
  • Stay informed about local laws, immigration law, loss prevention tactics, and security protocols.
  • 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related fields is preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • US Citizenship
  • Post Class A Licensed or Enrolled in Academy Class
  • Prior experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in report writing and documentation practices.
  • Excellent driving skills; valid driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge of conflict management techniques and animal handling practices is beneficial.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. This position requires a proactive approach to community engagement while upholding the law with integrity and professionalism.
